The short version

We tested Taskpup on desktop and on a phone-sized screen: the homepage and public pages, sign-up, logging in and out, creating, completing, editing and sorting tasks, settings, the test-mode upgrade to Pro, and the contact form. We created our own test account through your sign-up page and used it for the logged-in tests.

The core task list works: tasks are created, saved, completed and edited reliably. The biggest problems are that due dates show one day earlier than the date that was set, logging in on a phone lands on a 'page not found' screen, and the contact form says your message was sent when it was actually rejected.

We also found a timezone option that can't be saved, a dashboard that takes over 6 seconds to show tasks, and several smaller polish and accessibility issues.

How we logged in: We created our own test account through your sign-up page and used it for the logged-in tests.

Task due dates are shown one day earlier than the date that was set

Flow
Dashboard task list
Seen on
both
Confidence
High

Steps to reproduce

  1. Log in to an account that has tasks with due dates
  2. Open the Dashboard
  3. Compare the due date shown on each task with the date it was given (for example, open Edit on the task)

Expected

A task due on Wednesday 21 October shows 'Due Wed, Oct 21'

What happened

A task stored as due 2026-10-21 ('Read 20 pages') shows 'Due Tue, Oct 20', and a task due 2026-11-09 ('Pay electricity bill') shows 'Due Sun, Nov 8'. Every dated task is shown one day early.

Logging in on a phone opens a 'page not found' screen instead of the dashboard

Flow
Log in (mobile)

Confidence
High

Steps to reproduce

  1. On a phone (or a 390px-wide browser window), open the homepage
  2. Tap Menu, then Log in
  3. Enter a valid email and password and tap Log in

Expected

You land on your dashboard

What happened

The login is accepted, but the browser goes to /m/dashboard, which shows '404 โ€“ We couldn't find that page. It may have wandered off.' The same login on desktop goes to the dashboard correctly.

Contact form says 'Thanks! Your message is on its way' even when the message was rejected

Flow
Contact form
Seen on
desktop
Confidence
High

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Contact from the top menu
  2. Fill in Name, Email and Message (also try an invalid email such as 'invalid-email')
  3. Click Send message

Expected

A success message only when the message was actually received; otherwise an error explaining what to fix

What happened

The server rejected every submission, but the page showed 'Thanks! Your message is on its way. We will get back to you soon.' and cleared the form. The message is silently lost and the visitor believes it was sent.

Choosing the 'UTC' timezone in Settings can't be saved

Flow

Seen on
desktop
Confidence
High

Steps to reproduce

  1. Log in and open Settings
  2. In Timezone, choose UTC (the last option)
  3. Click Save changes

Expected

The timezone is saved like the other options

What happened

The page shows 'Something went wrong. Please try again.' and a red 'Internal server error' message; after reloading, the old timezone is still selected. Australia/Melbourne, Australia/Sydney and Pacific/Auckland all saved fine.

Dashboard shows empty placeholders for about 6 seconds before tasks appear

Flow
Dashboard load
Seen on
both
Confidence
High

Steps to reproduce

  1. Log in
  2. Open or reload the Dashboard
  3. Watch the task list and the counters

Expected

Tasks appear within a second or two

What happened

For about 6 seconds the counters show dashes and the task list shows grey placeholder bars, even though the tasks themselves have already loaded. The dashboard statistics take about 6.1 seconds to load every time, and the list waits for them.

  2. Enter a name, the email 'invalid-email' and a password of 8+ characters
  3. Click Create account

Expected

A message saying the email address is not valid, with the button usable again

  1. On a phone (390px wide), open Pricing from the menu
  2. Scroll down to 'Compare plans'

Worth a second look

We saw these once but could not confirm them with enough evidence to call them bugs. They may be nothing.

  • Password reset email did not arrive (Forgot password)

Tested and passed

  • Homepage: Loads quickly (about 0.15 seconds) on desktop, tablet and phone with no errors; headline, features and testimonials display, and the Features link jumps to the right section
  • Public pages: Pricing, Contact and Privacy open from the header and footer; the phone menu opens and closes
  • Sign up: A new account is created and you land on your dashboard with a welcome task, on both desktop and phone; double-clicking 'Create account' creates only one account
  • Sign-up and login errors: A wrong password shows 'Invalid email or password.', an email already in use shows 'An account with that email already exists.', and an empty form shows 'Please fill in all fields.'
  • Log in and log out (desktop): Logging in goes to the dashboard and Log out returns to the homepage
  • Create tasks: Five tasks with different priorities were created, each appeared at once and all were still there after reloading
  • Complete and edit tasks: Completing a task and renaming a task both save and survive a reload; double-clicking Save changes doesn't create duplicates
  • Sorting: Sorting by Title and by Priority orders the list correctly
  • Text input: Formatting tags typed into a task title or display name are shown as plain text, not applied
  • Settings: Display name and the Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland timezones save and are still there after reloading, on desktop and phone
  • Upgrade (test mode): The test-mode checkout with the test card upgrades the plan to Pro, and double-clicking Pay charges only once (one $9.00 invoice in billing history)
  • Contact form (empty): Submitting an empty form shows 'Please fill in every field.'
  • Back, forward and refresh: After editing a task, Back and Forward move between pages correctly and reloading keeps the edit
  • Phone layout: The homepage, dashboard and settings fit a 390px-wide screen without sideways scrolling

Not covered in this run

  • Habits and streaks: The homepage advertises 'New: habit streaks are here', but we couldn't find any habits page or controls in the app
  • Reminders and notification settings: No reminder or notification controls could be found in the dashboard or Settings
  • Deleting a task: Our test browser stopped responding after clicking Delete, so we couldn't confirm the result (most likely a confirmation pop-up our tools can't handle)
  • Password reset completion: The reset email didn't arrive in time, so the reset link and new-password step were not tested
  • Due dates and timezones end to end: Creating tasks with due dates in different timezones and checking the counters was not completed
  • Edge-case input in forms (very long text, emoji, spaces only): Not reached in the time available
  • Actions after re-sorting the list: Completing, editing and deleting the first and last tasks after each sort was not completed
  • Closing the task editor with Cancel or by clicking outside it: Only Escape was tested
  • Formatting tags in notes and avatar URL fields: Only task titles and the display name were checked
  • Losing the connection while creating a task or saving settings: Only completing a task while offline was tested
  • Empty dashboard: New accounts always start with a welcome task, so a truly empty list was never seen
  • Full keyboard-only use: Only partly checked
  • Creating tasks on a phone: Skipped to avoid creating more test data

Out of scope

Bugsniffer does functional QA only. We did not do, and never do:

  • Security testing (injection, authentication bypass, access-control probing, secrets scanning)
  • Load, stress and performance-under-load testing
  • Reading or scanning your JavaScript bundles, source maps or hidden endpoints
  • Guessing URLs or API endpoints not reachable through your interface
  • Third-party sign-in (Google, GitHub, Apple and similar) and anything hosted off your own domain
  • Real payments (only a test-mode card your site clearly offers is used)
  • Sending email to anyone other than our own test inboxes
  • Native mobile apps (your site is tested in a mobile-sized browser)
  • The Team plan's 'Talk to us' button leads to the contact form; no sales conversation was started
  • Test data left in place: three accounts (sniff-taskpup-deep-keys2-1, -2 and -3 @bugsniffer.io), six tasks starting 'Bugsniffer QA' on account 1, and one test-mode $9.00 Pro upgrade on account 1. Contact form attempts were all rejected by your server, so no messages should have reached you

How we tested

Two different AI models worked on your app. One planned the tests and then checked every result; the other used your site in a real browser, the way a careful first-time user would, on a desktop screen and a 390-pixel phone screen. Every bug above was backed by a screenshot and the browserโ€™s own records before it made this list. This Deep run took 61.2 minutes and stayed on your own domain (sniff-target.pages.dev).

Test accounts we created use addresses like sniff-โ€ฆ@bugsniffer.io and names starting โ€œSniffโ€. You can delete them.
